Illinois' H.B. 452 increases the state excise tax on cigarettes from 44 to 58 cents.

Tobacco Education

A resolution passed in Pennsylvania (H.C.R. 52) proclaims the Kids Interacting Drug-Free Coalition and the Teen Anti-Drug Coalition as model organizations against tobacco and other drugs. All schools and school districts are encouraged to implement these models.

Miscellaneous - Tobacco

Massachusetts enacted H.B. 3905, which prohibits the state from investing or continuing to invest public pension funds in any company that derives more than 15 percent of its revenues from the sale of tobacco products.
